Course Title – Benefits of a Rigid Cover Board in Commercial Roofing Systems

Description – This course provides a better understanding of the value that rigid cover boards deliver to commercial roofing assemblies, how they perform in adverse conditions, and the characteristics of each major type of board. The presentation will cover the following learning objectives:

• OBJECTIVE ONE – Define the functions of a cover board in a commercial roofing assembly.
• OBJECTIVE TWO – Describe the commonly used cover board materials.
•  OBJECTIVE THREE – Discuss how cover boards perform in adverse conditions.
• OBJECTIVE FOUR – Articulate the performance characteristics of each type of rigid cover.

Course Presenter – Ben Williams

“Ben Williams is the Southeast Commercial Dens Manager for Georgia-Pacific Gypsum. In this role, he oversees all Dens-branded fiberglass-faced gypsum sheathing products across Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Originally from Central California, Ben attended the University of Colorado–Boulder, where he studied Economics and Business Administration. He has been with Georgia-Pacific for six years, initially covering the Mountain States out of Denver before relocating to Atlanta two years ago to manage the home markets.

Ben lives in the Atlanta area with his wife, Lindsey, and their five-year-old daughter, Presley. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, working out, and spending time with friends and family.”
