Georgia Chapter Educational Meeting – ASCE 7-22 Code Update (February 28, 2025)

Course Title – ASCE 7-22 Code Update

Description – The Building Code requires all roofing systems to be tested and meet design uplift requirements that are outline in ASCE7.  A new version of this code has just been released called ASCE7-22. The current which is now in use is ASCE7-16. The biggest change in ASCE7-22 is the introduction to Tornado Wind Speeds and the criteria for making sure buildings meet these new requirements. This program was part of the SPRI Wind Design Seminar hosted in Charlotte, NC in October of 2024.
